You were never
alone.
Bryndis is a personal safety companion built for the moments that matter — walking home, late shifts, solo travel, anything in between. Hold to alert. Tap to check in. Quietly powerful, never panicky.
Designed by people
who actually walk home.
A safety app is only useful if it works when you can't think clearly. Bryndis was built around three non-negotiable principles — the things every other detail bends to.
Two-second activation
From locked screen to your trusted circle being alerted in under two seconds. No menus, no logins, no friction at the moment it matters.
One-thumb navigation
Every critical action reachable with the thumb of the hand that's holding the phone. Because the other hand might be holding keys, a leash, or a door.
No false alarms
Hold-to-confirm gestures and a discreet visual language — no flashing red, no panic colours. A safety net you can carry every day without crying wolf.
Quiet tools
for loud moments.
Four core features, designed to fade into the background until you need them. Free, forever. No ads, no upsells in the middle of a SOS.
Hold-to-alert SOS
Press and hold the home tile for two seconds. Your location, a short context note, and an alert are sent to every trusted contact at once — push notification first, SMS fallback, the moment it might matter.
Trusted contacts
Up to five people who can be reached instantly. They don't need the app installed. They get a clear SMS with your live location, a one-tap call back, and a link to track your trip if you've started one.
Check-in timer
Heading somewhere? Set a window — 15 minutes, an hour, the length of a date. If you don't check in by then, your trusted contacts are alerted automatically. Cancel any time with a single tap.
Find your car
Drop a pin when you park. Bryndis remembers exactly where you left it — and an AR compass overlays a glowing arrow on your camera view to walk you back, even in a multi-storey car park with no signal.
Built to fund
the work that helps.
Bryndis exists because no one should walk home wondering if anyone would notice. The same logic carries further than an app can. A portion of every Bryndis subscription supports Hands of Hope Foundation, a South Australian charity providing trauma-informed recovery programs for women escaping family violence.
The maths is simple
Recovery programs cost money. Apps fund themselves. Tying the two together means every paid Bryndis subscriber is quietly funding a program place — without changing anything in their week.
Partnership is in formation. Donation percentage will be published in our Annual Impact Report once subscription revenue commences.
Your location
belongs to you.
Personal safety apps that quietly sell location data are not safety apps. Bryndis is built on a different premise: the people you choose, the data you control, hosted in Australia.
