Quiet tools
for loud moments.
Bryndis is shaped around one question: what would you actually use, in the moment you actually needed it? Four free core features, two paid modules for specific situations, all built on the same two-second, one-thumb principle.
One gesture.
The whole circle.
Open Bryndis, press and hold the home tile for two seconds, and an alert lands with every trusted contact at the same time — push first, SMS fallback, complete with live GPS coordinates and a one-tap "I'm here" reply.
- Two-second hold. No accidental triggers. Cancel by lifting your thumb.
- Live location. Coordinates with accuracy radius, refreshed every 30 seconds until the alert is cleared.
- SMS fallback. If push isn't acknowledged in five seconds, Twilio sends a clear SMS with the map link.
- Always call 000 first in a life-threatening emergency. Bryndis is a companion to emergency services, not a replacement.
Up to five people.
No app required for them.
Bryndis isn't a social network. There are no friend requests, no profiles, no public anything. You add up to five trusted contacts by phone number — partners, parents, housemates, the friend who answers at 2am — and they're notified by SMS, no install needed.
- SMS-first. Contacts don't need to download anything. The link in their SMS opens a live map in any browser.
- One-tap callback. Every alert SMS includes a tap-to-call number, so the first action is always a voice connection.
- Priority order. Set a primary contact who is called automatically when SOS is triggered.
- Consent built in. Adding someone sends them a one-time SMS that explains what they've been added to, with an easy opt-out.
If you don't check in,
they will.
Set a window before doing something where you'd want someone to notice if you didn't come back. Fifteen minutes, an hour, the length of a date. Bryndis nudges you for a check-in. If you don't respond, your trusted contacts are alerted — automatically.
- Flexible windows. Quick presets for 15min, 30min, 1hr, 2hr — or pick a custom time.
- Friendly nudges. A check-in reminder at the right time, with a one-tap "I'm safe" button.
- Auto-escalate on missed check-in. Two-minute grace, then full alert — same chain as SOS.
- Cancel any time. One tap, no questions, no log left behind.
Drop a pin.
Walk back, no signal needed.
Park, tap once. Bryndis remembers exactly where you left the car — and an AR compass overlay points you back through your camera view, with a glowing arrow that works even in a basement car park with no GPS.
- One-tap park. Captures GPS, magnetic heading, and a quick photo for visual confirmation.
- AR compass. Camera overlay with a soft glowing arrow and distance counter. Works without an internet connection.
- Designed for car parks. The feature most often used at night, alone, in unfamiliar buildings — built to perform there first.
- Auto-clears. The pin clears when you start driving again. Nothing to remember to delete.
For first dates,
and second ones too.
A safety module designed for the moments around dating: meeting someone new, sharing your evening plans with one chosen friend, and a soft auto-check-in that knows the difference between "I'm having a great time" and "something's off."
- Date plan share. Send one nominated friend the venue, time, and a photo of who you're meeting — encrypted, expires automatically.
- Mid-date check-in. A gentle prompt at the halfway mark — three taps for "all good," one tap for "get me out," nothing for "escalate quietly."
- Fake call. Trigger a believable incoming call from "Mum" with a tap, to give yourself a clean exit.
The trip,
witnessed.
For Uber, Ola, Didi, taxis. Capture the driver, the plate, the route — then have Bryndis quietly watch the journey. Off-route, prolonged stops, or arrival far from the destination triggers a check-in. Smooth ride? Nothing happens.
- Driver capture. One screen tap stores driver name, plate number and rideshare service, encrypted and shared only on escalation.
- Live route monitoring. Bryndis watches the route on-device against the destination. Deviations over 500m trigger a soft check-in.
- "I'm home" cancellation. One tap closes the trip when you're safely inside. Otherwise it auto-escalates after the expected ETA + 10 minutes.
All four core features.
Free, forever.
Optional modules unlock for $4.99 a month, with a portion of every subscription supporting Hands of Hope Foundation. Cancel any time, from inside the app, with one tap.
